The 14th European Control Conference (ECC15) will be held in Linz, Austria from July 15 to July 17, 2015. The European Control Conference (ECC) had been organized every two years under the auspices of the European Control Association (EUCA) but since 2013, it takes place annually.

To prepare an outstanding technical program we invite you to submit
– Contributed papers
– Invited session proposals and invited papers

The submissions will be evaluated by the Conference Editorial Board and International Program Committee and the accepted papers will be submitted to the IEEE-Xplore digital library. However, papers not presented at ECC15 will be withdrawn from the IEEE-Xplore digital library.

Furthermore, we also welcome submission of
– Tutorial session proposals
– Pre-conference workshop proposals
– Panel session proposals on topics of industrial interests

that will complement the technical program by giving to all participants a view on the control-related challenges arising today from academia and industry.

All papers, session proposals and workshop proposals must be submitted electronically through the PaperCept Conference Management System.

Authors are advised to read PaperCept’s Getting Started Manual for Authors carefully.

Submissions that do not meet ECC15 format requirements will be automatically rejected. We highly recommend using one of the ECC15 templates to prepare your submission.

Papers are invited in the form of regular manuscripts (6 proceedings pages). Papers must be submitted through the PaperCept Conference Management System and must be formatted in accordance with the submission policy. For the purpose of review only, manuscripts up to eight (8) pages long in the standard two-column ECC conference format will be considered. If accepted, final manuscripts are limited to six (6) pages. Accepted papers exceeding the normal length may be included in the proceedings upon payment of over-length page charges for each page in excess of six pages, up to a maximum of two additional pages.

Proposals are invited from participants who wish to organize invited sessions. An invited session comprises six thematically coherent papers. The session should be composed in order to achieve added value over the mere presentation of individual papers, by focusing for example on emerging challenges or different angles on established problems that one would not expect to see in a regular contributed paper session. Proposals for invited sessions must be submitted through the PaperCept Conference Management System. They are limited to six (6) pages in the standard two-column ECC conference format and should contain a summary describing the motivation and relevance of the proposed session, as well as a short overview of the individual papers and how they fit into the overall theme. The invited session proposal have to be submitted before the invited papers of the session. Upon submission of the proposal the session organizer will receive a session code, which should be communicated to the authors of the invited papers for the submission of their contributions.

We advise invited session organizers to submit their proposals at least one week before the conference deadline in order to allow sufficient time for the submission of the invited papers.

Invited Papers
The six invited session papers must be submitted separately by their authors using the session code provided by the invited session organizer. Invited papers will undergo a review process similar to that of contributed papers. Therefore, they should be of comparable high quality and should abide by the same formatting and submission rules; in particular, brief abstracts or extended abstracts will most likely be rejected. Invited papers must be submitted through the PaperCept Conference Management System and must be formatted in accordance with the submission policy. For the purpose of review only, manuscripts up to eight (8) pages in the standard two-column ECC conference format will be considered. If accepted, the final manuscripts are limited to a length of six (6) pages. Accepted papers exceeding the normal length may be included in the proceedings upon payment of over-length page charges for each page in excess of six pages, up to a maximum of two additional pages. If an invited session is accepted but some of its constituent papers are rejected, the Program Committee reserves the right to replace the rejected invited papers with compatible contributed papers. Conversely, accepted invited papers from a rejected invited session will be included in regular contributed paper sessions.

The 2015 European Control Conference will feature several tutorial sessions on established and emerging topics of current interest in control theory and control applications. A tutorial session will normally consist of 5 presentations with a 40 minute lead presentation and four 20 min contributed talks. Requests for variations from this format, if desired by organizers, can be requested by contacting the Tutorial Session Chair. Potential organizers are invited to propose and develop such tutorial sessions. The organizers submit a proposal for the tutorial session (required). The organizers can (optionally) submit a lead tutorial paper, and participants in the tutorial session can submit (optional) contributed tutorial papers. All of these must be submitted by the conference submission deadline (Nov 03, 2014) through PaperCept Conference Management System. The session proposal and optional papers will be reviewed, and acceptance decision will be communicated to the organizers at the same time as for the regular papers.

1. The Tutorial Session proposal (Required)
The proposal is a short summary of what the tutorial session will be about, the topics that will be discussed, and the expected speaker line up for the session. The proposal needs to also discuss why the Tutorial session and presentations would be of interest to the attendees of the ECC.

The Organizers will get a confirmation email from Papercept once the proposal has been submitted that will contain a session code for the Tutorial session; this code should be provided to anyone submitting a paper (see below) so that they can associate their papers with the Tutorial Session.


2. Lead Paper (Optional, submitted by Organizer or delegate)
This is an extended paper (up to 18 pages in length) that provides a technical rundown of the subject of the tutorial session and serves as a touchpoint/focal point for the remaining presentations in the session. It should be submitted as a "Tutorial Paper" from the main Papercept submission menu, and the code provided by the Session Organizer (see 1, above) should be entered to ensure it is associated with the correct session.


3. Other session papers (Optional, submitted by Organizer or delegates)
Papers for any or all of the remaining presentations of the session are not required, but if they are desired, the full papers of up to 6 pages in length (not an abstract) must be submitted for review to the Papercept website by the deadline above. These should be submitted as a "Tutorial Paper" from the main Papercept submission menu, and the code provided by the Session Organizer (see 1, above) should be entered to ensure they are associated with the correct session.
