The BMW Engine Plant in Steyr is also the worldwide BMW Group competence center for diesel engines. 3, 4 and 6 cylinder petrol engines and 3, 4 and 6 cylinder diesel engines for BMW and MINI are developed and built here. One single engine consists of up to 400 different components. Every day, about one million parts are in motion within the plant. Innovative production technology and the excellent know-how of our associates guarantee that these parts are turned into premium products which live up to the expectations of BMW.
